Re: Important Fall 2020 Season changes to Sturgis In-Person classes

Due to COVID-19 and the impact the pandemic had on our business over the past three months, the Academy of Dance Arts has been adapting to serve the growing needs of our families throughout the Black Hills and Rapid City. Within 48 hours of the Governor’s Friday, March 13 school closure announcement, we worked tirelessly to pivot and re-open services online by Monday with all three locations! Providing anchors of normalcy, consistency and connectivity were our service goals as we continued to pour benefits, care and value online for all of our dancers at home.

We are still listening to you and know that our families need more choices to return to a new version of normal in the school year and upcoming 2020-2021 season.

Because of this, we continue to train and now offer 5 Choices to Dance Your Way:

•  In Person (Rapid City): with Physical Distancing & Safer Studio TM Protocols
•  Livestream: providing Interactive Connectivity Online from home.
•  Private Lessons: One-on-One Sessions for Enhanced Learning
•  Online Academy: with 24/7 Access to our Learning Academy
•  Customize and Combine two or more options for a personalized plan!

Beginning September 2020, as we phase back in to In-Person classes, we have made the hard decision to no longer travel to the Sturgis Community Center for this school year. It is our hope that our Sturgis dancing families will continue to travel as we did, to take full advantage of our In-Person choice to Dance your Way. For the past 13 years, Ms. Janie and Ms. Julie, through the Sturgis School of Performing Arts & Academy of Dance Arts, have appreciated the opportunity to serve the City of Sturgis on site, and are grateful to offer new ways we can continue to serve you!

Please contact our office for ways we can assist to find the best fit for your dancer BEFORE our Fall 2020 schedule opens to non-Academy families on July 1.
